About The Artist

The Young Artist

I started making art as soon as I could hold a crayon. Throughout childhood, I took art classes and broadened my field of mediums. By age 11, I was working with paints, ceramics, stained glass, knitting, sewing, jewelry, and wood carving. At 14, I was accepted into the visual arts program at Henrico High School’s Center For The Arts. Here I completed my freshman and sophomore year. I then enrolled in the cosmetology program at the ACE Center @ Hermitage High School, where I received my cosmetology license in August of 2020.

Getting Spooky

Halloween of 2012, I decided to be a “zombie boxer”, this Halloween costume changed my life. A relative of mine had a coworker who knew the basics of special effects makeup. I created my first makeup “look” and was immediately hooked. With the leftover materials, I started to play around and experiment with what I could create and turn myself into.

A year later, I started partaking in the RVA annual “Zombie Walk". At the 2015 Zombie Walk, I won “best kids costume” after recreating the iconic scene from the horror movie Cary.

By age 14, I knew special effects makeup was what I wanted to do as a career. At 15, I was the sole makeup artist on an independent student film titled ‘The Watering Room”. From there, I worked as a makeup artist and scare actor at Kings Dominion Haunt 2018, Blood Lake Haunted Trail 2019, Demon House 2021, and Red Vein 2022.

After studying special effects for 5+ years and going to school where I was taught by some of the industry-leading artists, I graduated with my associate’s degree in February 2022. I currently spend my time working on short films such as the 48 hour film project as well as making assorted art the can be purchased here or at in person events.
